When it comes to franchises about fashion the general assumption is that you have to be a designer to make it big, or at least know a thing or two about the fashion world. This is not exactly the type of description that would define Don Ressler and Adam Goldberg. The two business magnates went into the fashion business without a clue of how the industry works and started their own line of fashion apparel as well as beauty and accessory companies. For them, all that mattered was success and they did have a keen eye for what was lacking in the market. Currently, their membership-based fashion companies under the banner TechStyle Fashion Group’ have taken off in major way, registering huge successes.
A success story that started at an early age
For Adam Goldberg, business was always something he loved and the fashion business came way after he had already announced himself to the big leagues. At the age of 15, Adam Goldberg already had one foot in the business world. He founded his first company, Gamers Alliance, which was designed to be and advertising network for gaming websites. The company would later be sold to Intermix Media. After the sale in 1999, Goldberg dropped out of high school to concentrate fully on running the company. He started out as Vice President of Strategic Planning and at 20 years of age, he had already made CEO for the company.
For Don Ressler, the story was almost similar. Don has a website, FitnessHeaven.com, which was also bought by Intermix. By the time the company was sold, Don had raised a substantial amount of cash for a number of online companies; it was part of the reason he decided to delve into the world of fashion.
A partnership forms at Intermix
While at Intermix, the two become closer and closer and soon a strong friendship was forged. The two friends brainstormed on ideas to start something new while working together. In 2006 they co-founded a company by the name Intelligent Beauty, which was followed up by other successful brands. For them, success would come if they could figure out a way to make shopping much easier for people. In the back of their minds, they knew that people wanted clothing that fits and is trendy at the same time.
Techstyle comes to being
Techstyle is the culmination of years of effort. Their business model involves a new approach that is unlike any other. The company seeks to combine high-end fashion with cutting edge technology. The membership-based company designs personalized apparel for members, which is one of the key reasons they are so popular.
Giving back is part of the program
One thing that the company prides itself on is making room for the community. Techstyle has been involved in many community projects in a bid to give back to the society. One of their very recent campaigns is one aimed at fighting breast cancer. Through their fashion company, Fabletics, a Techstyle brand, the two have teamed up with Kate Hudson to promote a women’s fashion line launching to create awareness to breast cancer.
Kate Hudson thrilled to be part of it
As a co-founder of Fabletics, Kate Hudson couldn’t be better placed to be the brand’s ambassador. She has been the brand ambassador for Fabletics for the second year now and says that she is intent on expanding the brand and doing more though it. The line of fitness clothing was launched to celebrate the launch of the Council of Fashion Designers of America. Kate Hudson made an appearance at the Fabletics store in Del Amo in support of the initiative.
Creating something meaningful
Kate Hudson says that she is more than excited to take part in the initiative, which gives her company a chance to push their drive for fitness further. According to her, a company that deals in fitness should be at the forefront when it comes to healthy living. To her, fitness is also key in keeping one’s mental and physical conditioning.
The new campaign is set to launch worldwide and hopefully, the brand can get word out about breast cancer. As for Kate Hudson and her co-founders, there is surely more to come and with business minds such as Don’s and Goldberg’s , it’s safe to say that there is more to be seen from Fabletics.
